Job Description
Hybrid position- 2 day in office. ( One of those days must be Tuesday or Thursday)
The Engineering Technician role and responsibilities are as follows:
Assists Engineers by providing editing and formatting for Generation system standards and ensuring adherence across standards publications. Manages the revision procedure for standards. Compiles and publishes Standards books. Manages standards content in ECM (Enterprise Content Management), SharePoint, SharePoint Online and net.com. Identifies opportunities to improve, streamline, and simplify processes. Participates in endeavors to innovate Standards content.
Technician Engineering Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with Engineers to review and edit recommendations to Standards content.
• Implement requested changes to standards through proper workflow.
• Monitors incoming work through the SharePoint list and/or corresponding automated emails.
• Research existing standards and compare them to requested changes, to ensure there are no conflicts.
• Edits Word documents and .dgn files and converts or inserts standards into PDF documents.
• Manages standards versions within ECM, SharePoint, and SRPnet.com.
• Logs changes in Standards Revision Log and logs ongoing work/completion in the notes in SharePoint.
Technician Engineering skill sets:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong technical writing skills is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail is paramount. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Word, .dgn files, PDF documents, SharePoint, ECM
• Ability to work as an integral part of a team to develop great relationships and work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly responsive and able to multitask and take initiative.
