Job Title: Network Engineer
Duration: 12 Months+
Location: Phoenix, Arizona / Hybrid

Description:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience specifically as a network engineer. Not set in stone, but it’s a pretty good guideline. Most of these types of people will have 10 years of overall IT experience, with network environment as a subset.

1. Deep knowledge of Cisco Nexus switches (5k, 7k, 9k). Nexus specific experience is important. Can build and configure with limited supervision. Understands concepts like setting up a port channel and IOS. Has built switch configurations from scratch and deep experience troubleshooting VLAN and other network issues.

   2. Ability to use standard network troubleshooting tools without assistance: Wireshark, Traceroute, packet capture, etc.

   3. Deep knowledge of Palo Alto Next Gen Firewalls. Experience building rules from scratch, working with VLANS, setting up NAT, and troubleshooting connections using built-in PAN tools.

   4. Ability to troubleshoot network from OSI Layer 1 through Layer 4.
   5. Cisco and Palo Alto certifications are highly desirable.

   6. Specific experience with Cohesity backup in addition to above is a huge plus.

   7. Experience in VMWare and ESX hosts in addition to above is a huge plus.
