Job Description:
This is a Lead Testing Role for the Item Processing transformation workstream. Responsibilities include Test Strategy, Planning, Test Design as well as Test Execution.
Candidate must have experience:
- Leading or managing teams
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent collaboration/teamwork to coordinate testing within Item Processing as well as across multiple workstreams
- Experience with Agile methodology.
Test Strategy and Planning:
- Review and author test strategy and test plans including test strategies across technology stacks
- Ensure alignment to master test strategy
- Define “Definition of Done”
- Socialize strategy with leadership, cross workstreams and vendors
Test Design:
- Review and provide direction for test script creation
- Ensure quality management procedures and standards are applied
- Review traceability matrix
- Socialize test scripts with cross workstream stake holders
- Reporting on test design progress
- Coordination with multiple teams for the design of tests
Test Execution:
- Ensure quality standards and gates are followed
- Ensure “Definition of Done” is met for user stories
- Run and manage defect triage calls
- Coordinate with development, vendor and all downstream application teams
Status reporting at all forums and levels
Should be strong in the skills required of the Test Automation Engineers and may participate in these activities as needed.
Required Technical Skills:
- 4+ years of experience with Java and web automation
- Create new Java classes and methods in object-oriented style. Able to use loops, exception handling, and Java collections (HashMaps, Sets, etc)
- Identify web objects by their properties and be able to select unique locators and write custom xpaths as needed
- Familiar with basic web test automation techniques (waits/synchronization, switching windows/frames, interacting with different types of elements, etc.)
- Familiar with Selenium WebDriver methods/syntax
- Experience with Cucumber test automation framework or other Maven based test automation framework.
- Write/modify the underlying Java reusable functions linked to the Gherkin steps
- Create feature files for test scenarios, including using tags and scenario outlines
- Use a Test Runner class and JUnit hooks to be able to modify test execution/set-up/tear down processes as needed.
