Venafi Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for designing, developing, testing, documenting, implementing, and/or improving information security controls and solutions. Role delivers on cybersecurity strategies and supports implementation and management of Venafi certification management, both on perm and in the cloud, in accordance with established policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.

Develops/defines the security standards for new/existing cybersecurity controls.

Requires specialized working knowledge of one or more of the following domains:

 identity & access management, network security, data-loss prevention, application security, endpoint security, cloud security, incident management, forensics, vulnerability assessment, risk assessment, or cybersecurity compliance.

 Responsible for improving cybersecurity programs and project deliverables. Duties may include: monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and processes to safeguard internal information systems and databases.

Develop process automation and ensures effective systems integration. Research, recommend and implement changes to enhance cybersecurity of information systems. Assist with writing policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.

 Supports and participates in incident response and technical investigations as needed. Provide technical guidance to enterprise architecture. Research, design and develop control technologies, and monitor and administer their use. Monitor security logs and trends for security-related events and unauthorized activities.

Work with line of business and vendors on information security controls and solutions. Develop and apply risk models, report risk within the organization. Other duties as assigned.
